I have to admit I went to this place just because it's owned by Jason and Grant I did not expect it to be haunted. I thought, ofcourse they are going to say it is, they are Ghost Hunters. We checked in at the front desk and the lady said we could go up the stairs on the side, outside, with our luggage since we were parked out there and go in that door. We could not get that door open we both tried a few times. I thought why would they send us up here with our luggage and not unlock this door. I wasn't happy went back down around to the front up the stairs. We went down the hall to unlock that door and it wasn't locked it opened easily. Other things that happened quickly, our door was opened in the morning, the shudder door was locked although I guess we could have hit it I didn't even know it had a lock. Our phone was off the hook in the morning and I heard doors slamming at night. I stayed two nights, the last night I was laying in bed and I swear this happened, a child apparition laid across my stomach like if it were standing by the bed looking at me then laid on my stomach with both arms across me and said "Debbie I am miserable" all black no face. I saw bangs like hair bangs the hair was blacker than the black of the figure. No hands just waist head and arms. I tried to feel it and it disappeared. I don't know if it was a boy or girl. in my lifetime, I have ghost hunted before, heard voices before saw a raggety ann doll standing but this would be the first apparition I have seen in my life in the form of a human

Hi Debsta, it might interest you to know that when I was at a ghost hunt event they Jason, Grant and Britt held there last January I caught a couple of class A and B evps from what sounds like a young boy responding to my questions in the dining room. These also corresponded to hits on the KII's we were using. I love the hotel, regardless of the spirits, its a very relaxing and fun place to stay. I did find that when I was having lights go on and off and doors opening in my room at night, that if I asked whomever might be there to please not do that and let me sleep the activity did stop. Something to keep in mind for anyone who might stay there

I went to the first Paranormal 101 up at The Spaulding in May of 2009 (at least I think it was). We had some great interaction in the Pub with Ted who had reportedly committed suicide. He had no response on the renovations but the EMF went wild when we asked if he liked lawn bowling! LOL The whole experience was a blast! I didn't like the carriage house and couldn't wait to get out of there. It was hot and just not right although nothing really happened to us in there. When I returned to my room I was able to get my recorder to work. I left it running while I slept. Although I didn't listen to the tape until I returned home, at about 2:30am I recorded what seemed to be pounding footsteps getting closer and closer (and louder and louder) but then the recorder abruptly stopped. Absolutely freaked me out when I heard it.
